SANDRA CONLEY is a Nimble Thimble owner and oversees the administrative arm of the business. In addition to raising three daughters, Sandy’s outside interests include singing and serving as church sound technician with her husband John.

 
 

CAROL UTSMAN is a Nimble Thimble owner and sister to Sandy Conley. Carol’s life is very full with 3 young daughters, but she still manages to produce some of the most outstanding garments around…and teaches others to do the same.

 
MYRA O’DELL helped start The Nimble Thimble 25 years ago. As a founding owner, Myra teaches heirloom sewing, smocking, and pocketbook making. She is also a part time math teacher at Ashley Academy.
 

LINDA BROYLES has a real knack for purses, pillowcases, and quilting. In fact, her in-store instructional classes usually fill up as soon as they are announced. Before joining The Nimble Thimble, Linda retired from a professional career with Eastman.

 

BECKIE DADE says she works at The Nimble Thimble part time to have a break from her six grandchildren. Beckie is a retired RN who enjoys sewing children’s garments and cross stitching.

 

ANNE GALLOWAY has been a part of The Nimble Thimble for nine years. When she’s not busy at work, you will probably find Anne enjoying her other passion on the golf course.

 

TERESA SMITH learned to sew as a teenager at
The Nimble Thimble. She sewed for her daughters, who are grown, and now sews for her dog. Teresa teaches classes in making dog collars and clothing. She also teaches sewing recycling classes.

 

CHARLOTTE RYAN is a retired school teacher who taught in the Elizabethton City and Kingsport City School Systems. Her degree is in Home Economics. Charlotte teaches Bernina Master Classes.

 

DONNA HOROWITZ/PRUITT is a professional seamstress and garment instructor at Nimble Thimble. She holds a degree in fashion merchandising from Bauder Fashion College. Donna also recreates clothing from Civil War-era patterns and is active in the 19th TN Infantry Civil War Re-enactors.

 

SERENA CROWDER moved here from Oxford, England as a child and began sewing at 12. She has a bachelor's degree in Interior Design and a degree in Business. Serena, her husband, and their two daughters live near Jonesborough in a 100 year old farmhouse with chickens, goats and ducks.

 
LINDA BRADSHAW hails from southern Florida and moved here after "discovering" Tennessee 16 years ago.  She has sewn since before she can remember, and has been teaching for over 10 years.  Linda will be teaching surging and embroidery guide classes for Nimble Thimble.
CAROLYN MIXON has been with The Nimble Thimble for 19 years. She teaches smocking and children’s clothing. Unfortunately for us, Carolyn is moving to North Carolina. Godspeed to Carolyn. You will be missed!
